U4GM Diablo 4 What to Farm in March of the Goblins

March of the Goblins is the sort of Diablo 4 event where a bit of prep saves you hours. Sure, you can ride around smashing every goblin you see and still come away with bags of D4 items, obols, crafting bits, sigils, and odd little rewards. But if you want the farm to feel fast rather than messy, start with the reputation board in Kyovashad. The Goblin Statue on the west side of town opens the event track, and the key ranks are 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. Each one improves Treasure Bag drops, so pushing this board early makes every goblin after that worth more.

Rush the reputation first

The funny part is that the quickest reputation farm isn't really a goblin hunt at all. You'll want to run Infernal Hordes and look for an Aethered Goblin Chaos Wave. If you land one and clear it, that single wave can shoot you from rank 1 straight to rank 10. It feels a bit silly, but it works. Before you go in, put points into the Total Chaos node in the Infernal Hordes tree. That bumps up the chance of Chaos Waves showing, which means less time waiting for the right one to appear.

Set up your instance before farming

Once the board is capped, then it's time to chase goblins properly. First, open the Connect settings and turn off Cross Network Play. You'll usually see fewer players in your layer, and fewer players means fewer dead goblins when you arrive. Next, bring Subo as your mercenary. His passive marks enemies on the minimap and overlay, and that's a bigger deal than it sounds. Goblins love to wander at the edge of your screen, and Subo makes them much harder to miss.

Best routes to check

Monster density matters because goblin spawns tend to follow busy areas. If you own Vessel of Hatred, Skovos is a strong pick. Start near Celestia and sweep around Akarat's Bulwark. It's common to run into more than one goblin there. Nahantu is also worth your time: begin at Samuk, move south through Five Hills, then cut east into Restless Canopy. If you're on the base game, Scosglen's Northshore is still a very reliable loop. Keep the full map open while riding, too. Goblins show from much farther away there than they do on the small minimap.

Farm option Best use Why players run it
Infernal Hordes Event reputation Aethered Goblin Chaos Wave can max the board fast
Skovos route Open-world goblins High density around Celestia and Akarat's Bulwark
Nightmare Dungeons Sigils and bonus goblins War Plan nodes can stack extra goblin rewards

Don't ignore Nightmare Dungeons

Nightmare Dungeons can be just as good as open-world loops, especially with the right War Plan setup. Take Goblinfall if you're chasing Treasure Breach Sigils. Add Altar of Avarice for Goblin Altars after every 20 elite kills, which turns normal dungeon pacing into a steady goblin feed. Greed is Good is the spicy one, since goblins can open a portal to the Goblin Retreat. If you've already stocked up on cheap D4 items and just want maximum event value, mix dungeon runs with overworld routes so the farm doesn't get stale.
